The 710/70R38 tyre is available in three construction types that fit the same 38-inch rim but differ significantly in load capacity and soil protection:

Standard 710/70R38 - The conventional radial construction. Designed for maximum load at standard inflation pressure. Suitable for road transport and firm field conditions.

IF710/70R38 (Improved Flexion) - Carries 20% more load at the same inflation pressure, or the same load at 20% lower pressure. Reduced soil compaction makes this the preferred choice for arable farming. Available from Michelin (MachXBib IF) and Firestone.

VF710/70R38 (Very High Flexion) - Carries 40% more load at the same pressure compared to a standard tyre. Maximum soil protection at minimum tyre pressure. Trelleborg TM1000 and Alliance 372 Agriflex+ are well-known VF options in this size.

All three variants fit the standard 38-inch agricultural rim and are interchangeable in terms of rim compatibility. Load index and inflation pressure differ - always check the manufacturer data sheet before switching construction type.

The 710/70R38 tyre is listed under several alternative notations depending on the manufacturer, region or purchasing system. All of the following refer to the same tyre size for a 38-inch rim:
